Waldo Brink Services Held at Christian Church
Services for C. Waldo Brink, 72, Estherville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Miller and the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mr. Brink died at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 1972, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a lingering illness.
He was born March 12, 1900, at Boyden Iowa, to Charles and Netta Zinn Brink. He was educated in Sheldon schools and attended Freemont College at Freemont, Neb. He was married to Alma Jensen Jan. 1, 1926, at Elk Point, S.D., and after their marriage they lived at Grandville, Iowa, where he was a banker. In 1932 they moved the Estherville, where he owned and operated the Apco service station.
He was a member of the Christian Church in Estherville and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Alma; two sons, Rodney of Estherville and Paul of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Victor Z. Brink of New York City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Reese-Henry Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were Wallace Haukoos, Harold Howard, Walter Howard, Maurice Juhl, Tenner Lilland and Robert Owens. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1972)
