J. C. Winget of Superior Died Sunday
Joseph C. Winget, 78-year-old resident, southwest of Superior, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, following a stroke which he suffered a week ago Monday.

He is survived by his widow [Julia Ernst Winget], a daughter, Josephine, at home, and by two daughters who are now living in Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Winget, jr., and a daughter.

Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at his home. A requiem mass was performed at St. Patrick’s church in Estherville Wednesday morning at 9:30. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, January 7, 1943)
