Estherville – Mrs. Clarence (Lauretta) Welp, 57, Estherville, died early Sunday [January 30, 1977] at her home here.

Services for Mrs. Welp are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fuhrman Funeral Home.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home after noon Tuesday until time of services.

Mrs. Welp was born April 29, 1919, in Estherville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lynch. She received her education in Estherville schools and was married to Clarence Welp on Aug. 18, 1937. She lived her entire life in Estherville and was employed at one time for Butterfield Produce.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, St. Dominic’s Circle, the Altar and Rosary Society and Beta Sigma Phi Society.

Mrs. Welp is survived by her husband, Clarence; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Janyce) Kroll, Northridge, Calif.; one son, Larry Welp, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mary Ellen Lynch, Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Margaret Snyder, Estherville. She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 31, 1977)
