Estherville – Services for Mary Margaret Tracy, Estherville, were held today at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Tracy, 82, succumbed Friday, April 22, 1977, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. Fuhrman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Margaret Oberweis was born Feb. 2, 1895, in Hamm, Luxemborg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Oberweis. In 1908 she came to the United States with her family and settled in Kansas City, Mo. A year later they moved to Matlock and later the same year to Estherville.

In 1915 she was united in marriage to Floyd E. Tracy in Estherville, where the couple made their home. She spent her life in nursing and caring for people in her home. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Tracy is survived by two sons, Raymond Tracy, Los Angeles, Calif., and Donald Tracy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, her parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 25, 1977)
