Willie Wratten
The 3-year old son of Walter Wratten and wife, of this city, died Wednesday morning. Two other children are reported sick. The afflicted parents have the deepest sympathy of all in their great sorrow. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1893)

Died – Wratten – A two or three year-old child of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wratten, died yesterday morning with diphtheria. This is a very sad event and enlists the sympathy for all for the afflicted parents, as another child is reported very sick with this terrible disease.
