This community was saddened Monday [April 20, 1925] evening to learn of the death of Miss Florence Sauer which occurred at seven o’clock at the home of her parents, M. and Mrs. H. A. Sauer northeast of town. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 22, 1925)

Death came on Monday to relieve the sufferings of Miss Florence Francis Sauer at the home of her parents north of this city. Miss Sauer has been a sufferer for the past two years and for the past year has been helpless. Her suffering has been great but she has borne it without complaint.

She was before coming home ill, connected with the Bell Telephone Company in Chicago in the Auditing Department and was one of their trustee employees.

She was born in Carroll thirty-seven years ago, was educated in the public schools and had a fine business education and was a good business woman. She was refined and pleasant at all times and beloved by all who knew her.

The funeral services were held this morning from the St. Patrick’s church in this city, the Rev. Conway officiating, the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery south of this city. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 22, 1925)

Daughter of H. A. Sauer Passes Monday
Miss Florence Frances Sauer, daughter of H. A. Sauer of northeast of this city, passed away Monday night. She had been ill for two years with cancer and the end came as a relief from this great suffering. During the two years of her illness she had been here at her parental home, but previous to this she had lived in Chicago, where she was employed in the auditing department of the Bell Telephone company.

The deceased was born in Carroll, Iowa, on October 13, 1887, and was therefore but a little past thirty-seven years old at the time of her passing.

Funeral services were held this morning at ten o’clock from St. Patrick’s Church and burial made at the Catholic cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 22, 1925)
