Edward H. Neppl, 62, Dies at Home
Edward Herman Neppl, 62, longtime Estherville area farmer, died at 5 a.m. today at his home here. Death was due to a heart condition.

Mr. Neppl was born June 17, 1896 at Carroll, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Neppl. He received his education at Mount Carmel schools in Carroll and on Jan. 27, 1920 was united in marriage to Julia Thelen of Breda.

The couple lived on the same farm northeast of Estherville for 31 years before retiring and moving to town two years ago. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, Aloysius, Laverdas and Edward, Jr., all of Estherville; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marie) Thiel, Mrs. Jack (Norma) Myers, both of Estherville, and Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Bundy of San Diego, Calif.; and 29 grandchildren.

Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters. They are John of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Martin (Kate) Ludwig, Milford; Alois, West Liberty; Henry, Estherville; Christ, Vail; Mrs. Tony (Lena) Bachman, Auburn; and Engelbert, Chatfield, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and an infant son.

Funeral services were incomplete at noon today but will be announced in the Daily News when completed. Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends may call there from tomorrow afternoon. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 15, 1958)
