Mrs. Mary Morrissey Passed away Monday
Mrs. Mary Ann Morrissey, a pioneer resident of this city, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roscoe Tillea, last Monday morning.

Mrs. Morrissey has been in failing health for sometime past. Not long ago she had a heart attack in a store in this city and since that time her health has not been the best.

Mrs. Morrissey was born at Geneva on November 28, 1866. She has resided in Estherville for fifty six years. She was a wonderful neighbor and was beloved by all with whom she was acquainted. It seems that as far back as we can remember she resided on Lincoln street and for years we passed her door daily. She always had a smile for those passing and was always agreeable and pleasant.

She is survived by one son, Bernard, and two daughters Mrs. Roscoe Tillea, of this city and Mrs. Frank Judge of Boone.

The funeral services were held from St. Patrick’s church today and interment was made in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery beside her husband. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, September 12, 1934)
