Mrs. Stella Landmesser Dies at 56
Mrs. Stella Landmesser, 56, died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital after a four-year illness.

She was born Feb. 5, 1910, at Osceola, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilkinson. She came to Emmet County with her parents as a young girl and received her education in Estherville schools.

She was married July 3, 1937, to Vernon Landmesser at Emmetsburg.

Mrs. Landmesser was a member of St. Patrick’s church.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Lowell Schaper of Alamagordo, N.M., and Mrs. Nolan Nelson of Hastings, Neb.; four granddaughters, and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s church with Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Monday.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home any time Sunday until time of services Tuesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 13, 1966)
