W. T. Kane Obituary
William T. Kane passed away at his home on South Seventh street Wednesday [April 21, 1937] afternoon after an extended illness. Mr. Kane came to this city from Emmetsburg forty-two years ago and entered business.
For twenty-nine years he was in the employ of the Rock Island railway with a run out of this city. Some ten years ago he retired from active service.
The funeral services will be held from St. Patrick’s church on Saturday morning at nine o’clock, the Rev. L. J. Savage officiating.
He is survived by his widow and son, William D. Kane of this city and a daughter, May, of California who with her two children were here at the time of his death. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 22, 1937)

Emmetsburg residents will regret to learn that W. T. Kane, 79, a resident of Estherville for forty years, died at his home at that place Wednesday, following a long illness. Funeral services last Friday, Rev. L. J. Savage, officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery near Estherville. (Democrat, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1937)
