[Mrs.] Fred E. Henely dies; services on Wednesday
Mrs. Fred E. Henely [Margaret Hanora McGuire Henely, from wedding articles], 85, Estherville, died at 8 p.m. Sunday [May 23, 1971] at the Good Samaritan Center. Her death was attributed to advanced age. She was born Aug. 11, 1885, at Twin Lakes, Minn.

She was married May 19, 1915, to Fred E. Henely at Twin Lakes. Mr. Henely worked in the maintenance department for the Rock Island Railroad. They moved to Estherville in 1929.

She is survived by her husband, Fred E. Henely; four sons, Jim, Orlando, Fla.; Eugene and William, Deland, Fla.; Sylvester, Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Wratten, Los Angeles, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

She is the last of her family, having been preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and her parents. One infant daughter also preceded her.

She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Patrick’s Church.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, with the Rt. Rev Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be at the St. Pat’s Cemetery.

Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home.

Friends may call from noon Tuesday until the time of services on Wednesday. Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 24, 1971)
