Funeral of Old Resident is Held
Miss Hagerty, 78, Last of Family
Funeral services for Miss Harriet Hagerty, 78, were held at 9 a.m., Monday in St. Patrick’s church, with burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery. High Mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul by the Rev. William Velt. Pallbearers were Timothy Sullivan, Michael Jordon, Frank Jordon, Alphonse Jordon, Dennis Sullivan, and E. F. Ault.Miss Hagerty is survived by no immediate relatives. A sister, Ellen, with whom she had resided preceded her in death Dec. 6, 1916 [grave stone says 1915]. Miss Hagerty was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and came to Estherville 30 years ago. Of recent years she was confined closely to her home. She died unexpectedly Saturday with heart trouble.
Those from out of town who attended the services were Timothy Sullivan and daughter, Mary, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Frank, Dora and Michael Jordan and Dennis Sullivan of Boone, and Alphonse Jordan of Algona, all cousins of the deceased and Agnes Weigel of Boone, a long time companion of the deceased.
