Mrs. Greener Dies
Mrs. L. W. Greener, wife of the express agent, died suddenly at 5:30 this afternoon. She had the flu for about a week but was about the house. She was taken ill suddenly and Mr. Greener was called home. She passed away about 20 minutes later. No funeral arrangements have been made. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 9, 1939)

Mrs. W. L. Greener died very suddenly last Thursday evening from a heart attack. Her husband was at work at the express office when he received the notice of her illness. She passed away a few minutes after his arrival home.

The funeral services were held from St. Patrick’s church on Monday morning, the Rev. J. J. Keane officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery south of the city.

Mrs. Greener was a woman of many friends and there was an attendance at the funeral services from relatives and friends from a great distance.

She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Harold Bacon. [See Louis Greener's obituary for complete list of children]

Mrs. Greener was born June 4, 1877 at McGregor where she resided until her marriage on Oct. 30, 1900. Since their marriage Mr. Greener has resided in many cities where his occupation as express agent called him. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 16, 1939)
