Clarence F. Coyle, 66 Dies After Long Illness
Clarence Francis Coyle, 66, Estherville, died yesterday, April 2, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital after a year-long illness.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Church with the Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be made in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Coyle was born Dec. 1, 1905, in Council Bluffs to John and Mary Coyle. He received his education in Colome, S.D., and was married March 17, 1928, in Kennebec, S.D., to Beulah Morgan.

Until 1943 he worked in Winner and Yankton, S.D., and in that year he came to Estherville and was employed at Montgomery Ward and Co. In 1953 he began working for Sears Roebuck and Co., where he was employed until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah; one son, Rodger of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughter, Mrs. Don (Donna) Iverson, Wallingford; six grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Mary Coyle, Bakersfield, Calif.; and a brother, Emmet of Bakersfield, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers and two sisters.

The body lies in state at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 3, 1972)
