Edward Bagan died Monday night at the residence of Steve Howe in the south part of town of pneumonia. He was buried in the Catholic cemetery of this city by the side of his father, who died about two years ago, funeral being held from the Catholic church Wednesday morning. The deceased was only twenty-one years of age and a bright young man beloved by all of his associates for his manliness and sympathetic nature. His grief-stricken mother has the heart-felt sympathy of neighbors in her great sorrow. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, April 20, 1899)
Edward Bagan died Monday, April 17th, of pneumonia at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Howe in this city. Deceased was 21 years of age and bright, industrious and promising young man. His many relatives in this community have the sympathy of their many friends in their hour of bereavement. Funeral services will be held today and the remains interred in the Catholic cemetery south of town. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, April 19, 1899)
