Merlin Arthur Peterson
Merlin Arthur Peterson, little son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Peterson was born June 13, 1915, at Burnside, Ia., and passed away April 13, 1916, in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 9 months and 26 days. The little one had been ailing for several weeks, but only a short time ago was it discovered that it was in a serious condition. Its father had gone to Arizona for his health and was not here when the babe passed away. He was reached by wire and came at once, arriving in time for the funeral, which was held at the Church of Christ, Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. J. S. Coffin. The remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Peterson will be remembered by many friends as Miss Genevieve Strait. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 19, 1916)
