Miss Elizabeth Lausen, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Lausen of Emmet township, died Saturday [March 3, 1906], aged eighteen years. The funeral services were held at the residence at 10:30 o’clock yesterday, being conducted by Rev. F. W. Burheen of this city. The remains were interred in Oak Hill cemetery. Elizabeth, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Lausen, passed away last Saturday morning after a lingering illness of dropsy and heart trouble. She was eighteen years old. The funeral was held yesterday with a very large attendance. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the whole community. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 7, 1906)
