Ora Hipple, Estherville, Dies at 79
Mrs. Ora Mae Hipple, 79, Estherville, died at 1:02 a.m. this morning at Holy Family Hospital from a heart condition.She had been in failing health the past year and had been a hospital resident the past 2 ½ months.
She was born Dec. 23, 1888 at Deerfield, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor.
She received her education in Missouri and Terril, Iowa schools.
She moved with her parents from Missouri to Terril when she was 10 years old.
Mrs. Hipple was married Sept. 7, 1907 to John L. Hipple at Estherville.
A member of the Eastern Star, she also belonged to First Methodist Church of Estherville.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William (Ferne) Kerr, Estherville; two sons – Harold, Marcus, and Wesley, Estherville; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.
Services will be Thursday afternoon at 3:30 at the Reese-Henry Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. C. R. Buckwalter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Wednesday morning until the time of the service on Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 14, 1968)
