Henry Hageman received the sad news of the death of his mother Sunday [March 16, 1924] afternoon from a stroke. The funeral will be held here Wednesday and burial will be at Estherville. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, March 19, 1924)

Mrs. Minnie Hageman Passes on Sunday
Was Well and Favorably Known in This Community Where Her Children Reside
Mrs. Minnie Hageman passed away Sunday following a stroke of paralysis. She was visiting with her son, Fred W. of Coin, Iowa, and had seemingly been in good health. She was brought here on Tuesday and funeral services held from the Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock and burial made in Oak Hill cemetery. Her husband died four years ago on Aug. 27, 1919.

To mourn her passing she leaves her nine children, Fred W. of Coin, Henry H. of Gruver, Herman of Huntington; Mrs. Carline Marten of Sherburn, Minn., Willie C. of Dunnell, Minn., Walter E., Mrs. Ella Krier, Albert C. and John A. of Estherville.

Mrs. Hageman has made her home in this community for many years and was held in the greatest esteem by all for the estimable qualities as a wife, mother and home maker. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 19, 1924)
