Otto P. Hansen

Otto P. Hansen, 84, Estherville, died Wednesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital.

He was born Jan. 14, 1887, in Taars, Denmark, to Mr. and Mrs. Nils Hansen. He received his education in Taars, Denmark.

On May 15, 1908, he was married to Marie Evardsen at Taars. In 1923 they moved to the United States and farmed in the Armstrong, Ringsted and Estherville areas. They retired from farming in 1960 and moved to Estheville. Mrs. Hansen died Dec. 19,1968.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by two sons, Hans and Asgar, rural Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Gudrun) Babb, Fairmont, Minn.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, Erling and Einar, his parents, one brother and eight sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran church in Estherville with the Rev. Neal MacLachlan officiating. Burial will be at East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, until noon on Saturday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.

The Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
