Estherville Resident is Dead at 59
Mrs. Donald (Leila) Hansen, 59, Estherville, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday [August 17, 1968] at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville, from complications resulting from multiple sclerosis, from which she has suffered for six years.

She was born May 16, 1909, at Estherville. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Sconberg. She is a graduate of Estherville High School and Estherville Junior College. She is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a degree in art.

She was married Oct. 1, 1935 to Donald C. Hansen at Estherville.

She did community work for the Salvation Army, was on an election board, member of the Women’s Club, AAUW sorority, art director of the Story Book Camp and member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Hansen; two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Linda) Knox, Estherville, and Mrs. Kenneth (Donna) Fagre, Estherville; one son, Kenneth, Long Beach, Calif., two grandchildren; one brother, Dawes Sconberg, Austin, Minn.

A private family memorial service will be held at 2 p.m at the chapel in the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.
