Funeral Tuesday for Mrs. Sadie Hansen
Mrs. C. W. (Sadie) Hansen, 93, Estherville, died Sunday [December 27, 1970] morning at 2:45 a.m. at the Rosewood Manor.

She was born Feb. 17, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Armstrong at State Center, Iowa. She was married July 11, 1900, to C. W. Hansen at Hartley.

She and her husband operated the Gardston Tailor Shop in Estherville for many years. Mr. Hansen died in July, 1957.

She is survived by three daughters, Liza B. Hanson, Estherville; Mrs. L. S. (Muriel) Nelson, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Leo G. (Merna) Fay, San Bernardino, Calif.; one son, Robert J. Hansen, Estherville; one grandson and three granddaughters, and eight great-grandchildren.

She is the last of her family, having been preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Also her husband and one son, and her parents.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville, with the Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home until time of the services. Pallbearers include Gordon Sheltren, Kenneth Smith, Louis Obye, Emmet G. Amdahl, Werner Engel and Kenneth E. May. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1970)
