Walter Foster Funeral Set for Wednesday
Walter Thomas Foster, 79, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, Oct. 30, at the University Hospital at Iowa City. He had been in failing health for several months.

He was born April 29, 1891, in Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Foster. He was educated in Illinois schools and was married on March 4, 1916, to Vera Dameron in Illinois. They moved to Estherville in 1936, and he was employed by the Estherville Packing Co. until retirement in 1952. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Christian Church.

He is survived by two sons, Robert T., Denver, Colo., and Jack E. Foster, Sherburn, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Melba) Hoien, Estherville; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Six, Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, two sisters and one brother.

Services are Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. First Christian services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Robert Karl Miller officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home anytime until Tuesday.

Masonic services will be held at 7:30 at the Reese-Henry Chapel in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 2, 1970)
