Mrs. Foshier Passes Away
Dies Monday Morning at State Hospital – Funeral Services in Estherville
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Foshier, wife of Wm. Foshier, were held this afternoon at three o’clock at the Sternborg funeral chapel with Rev. Claude Fausnaugh of the Presbyterian church in charge. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. Geo. Shadle, L.E. Stockdale, J. E. Stockdale, Fred Parsons, C. Alt, and Jas. Smith, Superior, acted as pall bearers.

Mrs. Foshier who was 69 years of age had been a patient for many years at the State hospital at Cherokee. She passed away there early Monday [Sunday] morning, Jan. 9. Her last illness had been of short duration. Mrs. Foshier was born in Iowa.

Surviving are the husband, and one daughter, Mrs. W. E. Stewart of Topeka, Kansas. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 11, 1938)

News of the death of Mrs. William Foshier reached Superior friends Monday morning Mrs. Foshier passed away Sunday at Cherokee. Mrs. Foshier was well known here, the Foshier family at one time residing here. She leaves her husband, William Foshier of Estherville, a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Foshier, and a grandson, Billy Stockdale of Topeka, Kan. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, January 13, 1938)
