Mrs. Forrest Dead
Mrs. Elizabeth Forrest died Tuesday morning, August 13, 1895, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. W. Bachman, at West Bend.The deceased was born July 20th, 1828, in New Hampshire; came to Palo Alto county n 1871. In 1890 she moved to Tyndall, South Dakota, where she lived until five weeks preceding her death, coming back to Iowa to visit her daughter.
The deceased was a member of the Congregational church of Emmetsburg. She was well known to the early settlers, having been one of the pioneers of the county. She leaves two sons, J. F. and C. M. Forrest, of Tyndall, S.D., and a daughter, Mrs. Backman [Bachman] to mourn her loss. (Emmetsburg Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, August 14, 1895)
