Funeral Held Monday for Wm. DeWall, 59
William H. R. DeWall, 59, lifelong resident of this area, died Friday afternoon at Holy Family hospital after being hospitalized three weeks ago following a stroke.

Funeral services were held Monday at Immanuel Lutheran church in Estherville. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. DeWall is survived by his wife, Louise; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jane Eshouse, who has made her home for many years with Mr. and Mrs. DeWall; two brothers, Edward of Wallingford and Albert of Graettinger; and four sisters, Mrs. Glenn Whitish and Mrs. Elmer Peterson, both of Estherville, Mrs. August Baedke of Ruthven and Mrs. H. G. Hyatt of Council Bluffs. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, August 3, 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zumach, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Voigt, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Berkland, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Ruhnke, and Mr. and Mrs. William De Wall attended the funeral Monday of William H. De Wall, Estherville at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville. William H. De Wall is a cousin of William De Wall of Fenton. (Algona Upper Des Moines, Algona, IA, August 3, 1961)

Ruthven - Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baedke and family of Denison were here recently to attend the funeral of an uncle, William DeWall of Spirit Lake and to visit relatives in Ruthven. (Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, August 17, 1961)
