Mrs. Mary Davis, Mother of Mrs. L.J. Bennett, Dies
Mrs. Mary Davis, 87, of Sioux Falls, S.D., mother of Mrs. L. J. Bennett of Estherville, died Thursday [March 15, 1945] evening at Sioux Falls. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Denton funeral parlors at Sioux Falls with burial Monday at 2 p.m. in the Oakhill cemetery.

Other daughters surviving are Mrs. Thomas Pullen, Mrs. Frank Shadle of Newton and Mrs. Sidney Bemis of Harrisburg, S.D., and a son, Frank Davis jr., of Sioux Falls.

Mrs. Bennett has been with her mother during the past month. Mrs. Davis lived at Estherville for many years and moved to Sioux Falls almost 30 years ago. She is preceded in death by her husband who died six years ago. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 22, 1945)
