Dr. C. B. Clark Dies Saturday
Is Father of Local Physician
Dr. C. B. Clark, 62, father of Dr. James Clark of this city, passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids Saturday [June 24, 1933] at 4 p.m. Funeral services are being held today at the Turner chapel in Cedar Rapids. Dr. James Clark was called to Cedar Rapids by his father’s illness but failed to reach there before his death. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, June 27, 1933)

Kenwood – Dr. C. B. Clark died at his home, 3134 First avenue NE, Saturday at 2:15 p.m. He seemed to have recovered from a long illness and had resumed part of his practice when he was suddenly stricken on Saturday morning. He was born in Ogden, Iowa, July 9, 1871, the son of Dr. Orson and Emma Sylvester Clark. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa in 1893. He came to Cedar Rapids ten years ago from Ogden. He was married to Mary MacFarland of Ames, on Sept. 1, 1897. She survives him, besides a son, Dr. James Clark of Estherville, two brothers, Dr. O. W. Clark and S. P. Clark of Ogden, and one sister, Mrs. W. D. Miller of Long Beach, Calif. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, High Twelve club, and was affiliated with the Congregational church. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. Winslow Brown, Tuesday morning at 11:00 at the Turner chapel. Burial was made in Ogden. (Marion Sentinel, Marion, IA, June 30, 1933)
