Miss Ruth Ann Dahlberg of Ft. Dodge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Dahlberg of this city, passed away at 8:30 p.m. yesterday at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital at Ft. Dodge. Miss Dahlberg, who had spent much of her life in Estherville graduating from the high school here was employed at Fort Dodge by the Home Building and Loan Association. She was born Oct. 1, 1904, at Pipestone, Minn.
For about a year she had suffered with bronchitis and had gone to the hospital Saturday for treatment. Pneumonia developed and was fatal.
Surviving her untimely death are her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Perl Dippold, Columbia, Mo., Mrs. Hazel Black, Ft. Dodge, two nephews, Robert and Frederick Dippold, a niece Miss Dorothy Waldron, Estherville, and her fiancé, Russel Virt of Manson.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilder’s chapel in Ft. Dodge at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Estherville on Thursday, Rev. Fred Sawyer assisted by the Episcopal rector from Ft. Dodge will be in charge. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Vindicator & Republican, Estherville, IA, August 27, 1940)

Funeral Held Today for Ft. Dodge Business Woman; Raised in Estherville
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Church of Christ for Miss Ruth Dahlberg who passed away at Mercy hospital in Ft. Dodge Monday evening. The Rev. Fred Sawyer had charge of the service.Miss Dahlberg had been ill for about six weeks but her condition was not considered serious until last week. She was taken to the hospital Saturday night where she grew steadily worse.
Pall bearers were Wayne Vandevanter, G. T. Tostenson, Clarence Kurtz, Lloyd Boone Jr., Glen Story and John Weir.
Interment was made in the Oak Hill cemetery.
Miss Dahlberg was born Oct. 1, 1904, in Pipestone, Minn., and was graduated from the Estherville high school in 1922. She was employed by Attorney F. J. Kennedy in this city before going to Ft. Dodge where she accepted a position in the office of J. B. Cross, later becoming head bookkeeper at the Home Building and Loan Association. Miss Dahlberg was to have married Russel Virt of Manson.
Services were held Wednesday in Ft. Dodge at the Wilder funeral home with Dr. W. P. Clark, pastor of the Central Church of Christ, officiating. Miss Dahlberg was a member of the Church of Christ in Estherville. (Vindicator & Republican, Estherville, IA, August 29, 1940)

Ruth Ann Dahlberg of Fort Dodge, formerly of Estherville, passed away at St. Joseph’s Mercy hospital Monday at 8:25 p.m.Her death was caused from bronchitis, which developed into pneumonia.
Miss Dahlberg was born October 1, 1904 at Pipestone, Minn.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Dahlberg of Estherville, two sisters, Mrs. Perl Dippold of Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Hazel Black of Fort Dodge, one brother, Charles Edward, preceded her in death, a niece, Miss Dorothy L. Waldron of Estherville, two nephews, Robert and Frederick Dippold, and her fiancé, Russel Virt, of Manson.
Funeral services were conducted at Fort Dodge Wednesday at 1:30 o’clock and today at 2:30 in the Christian church. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 29, 1940)
