John Corbin Dies at 54
John Edgar Corbin, 54, died suddenly Sunday [October 16, 1966] at Cadillac, Mich.

He had been zone superintendent for Gambles for a number of years, working out of Worthington, Minn. For the past 16 years he had lived in Cadillac.

Mr. Corbin was born April 1, 1912, at Storm Lake.

He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge, the VFW, and the First Methodist Church of Cadillac. He was president of the church choir and a lay speaker.

Survivors include one son, Lt. Roger Corbin of Barksdale AFB, La.; one daughter, Marletta Corbin of Worthington, Minn.; one grandson; two brothers, Charles of Estherville and Landon of Chester, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. John Blume of Bellflower, Calif.; and his mother, Mrs. Louise Sellman of Sibley.

Funeral services are scheduled in Cadillac today, after which the body will be brought to the Reese-Henry Funeral Home for final rites Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. C. R. Buckwalter officiating. A private family burial is planned Wednesday afternoon.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Sunday until time of the services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 20, 1966)
