Mrs. Catherine [per cemetery records, Katherine] Church Formerly Resided Here
Short funeral services for Mrs. Catherine [Katherine] Church for seven years prior to 1906 a resident of Estherville were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Sternborg funeral chapel in charge of Rev. Frank Yearnd of the Union Baptist church. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery beside a son Harry [Harvey] who passed away during the residence of the family here. Services had also been held at Waterloo.

Mrs. Church was 79 years of age and had been bedfast for a year at the home of her daughter Mrs. O. E. Rugtiv at Waterloo. Her death occurred there on Saturday, Feb. 3. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Eisenhower of Anoka, Minn., Mrs. Rugtiv of Waterloo, and a son Arthur Church of Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Eisenhower and daughter Mrs. Joe Belford and Mr. and Mrs. Rugtiv were here for the services. The son in California could not be here.

After leaving Estherville in 1906, the family lived for 20 years in Dakota. (Vindicator & Republican, Estherville, IA, February 6, 1934)
