Death Comes to Miss Mildred Carlson Sunday Morning
Miss Mildred Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Carlson, died Sunday [February 14, 1932] morning after a lingering illness due to heart trouble. She was but eighteen years of age.Miss Carlson received her education in the Estherville public schools and was a member of the junior class. She was also a member of the high school band which will attend the funeral in a body. The Methodist Choirs, of which she was a member, will furnish music at the funeral.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 at the Methodist Church with the Rev. WinterStein officiating.
She was a girl with a pleasing personality and always had a big smile on her face. She leaves to mourn her death, her parents, a sister, Fern, and a brother, Robert, and a host of friends that she had made. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 17, 1932)
Dunnell – Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Nasby, of Jackson, and Mrs. Nels Olson, were at the home of Mrs. Olson’s brother, Carl Carlson, in Estherville Sunday called there by the death of their daughter Mildred. The Carlsons, who formerly lived here, have the sympathy of their many friends here in their sad bereavement. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 17, 1932)
