Hickory, N.C. – Ernest Ronald Brown, 50, a former resident of Estherville, died from injuries received July 6 while cutting a limb of a tree at Hickory, N.C., where he had made his home since moving from Estherville approximately one a half years ago.

Mr. Brown’s funeral services were held at Macedonia Baptist Church and burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Hickory, N.C.

Survivors include his wife, and three children, Ronald Brown, Remsen, Beverly Brown, Des Moines and Ken Brown, Hickory, N.C. Sisters Mrs. Ben Dwell, Mrs. Pearl Zerke, both of Estherville, Mrs. Gladys Oelkers, Dunnell, Minn., and Mrs. John Peterson, Osage, Mrs. Paul Pellner, Charles City, and two brothers, Grant Brown, Charles City, former Estherville resident and Morton Brown, Hawthorne, Calif.
