Fern Brown, 76, Dies
Funeral services are pending for Mrs. Fern Brown, 76, Estherville, who died at 2:20 a.m. today at Holy Family Hospital. Reese-Henry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 6, 1970)Services for Mrs. Brown to Be on Friday
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Reese-Henry Funeral Home for Mrs. Fern Louretta Brown, 76, who died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital from complications following surgery.She was born June 16, 1893, at New Hampton to Jerry and Hannah Bowser.
Mrs. Brown came with her parents to Estherville when she was 5 years old and is a longtime resident. She was married to Charles Brown at Estherville, who died in 1956.
The deceased was a member of the United Methodist Church, Gold Star Mothers and VFW Auxiliary.
Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Kenneth of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Marie) Cimrhakl, Roy, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maude Baxter, of Great Falls, Mont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sons.
Rev. Richard Pearson of United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Mitchell, Lloyd Rockne, Jim Burt, Earl Stick, Warren Mortimore, and Francis Sheda.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday until time of service on Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 7, 1970)
