Mrs. Branham Services Set For Saturday
Mrs. Thelma Ella Branham, 80, Estherville, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reese-Henry Funeral chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born March 21, 1892, at St. James, Minn., to Charles and Ella Russell Mudge. She came to Estherville as a young girl with her parents and was educated in Estherville schools.
She was married to Charles Branham and they were employed as hotel managers in various cities throughout the country until their retirement in 1960. They made their home in retirement at Moberly, Mo., until her husband’s death four years ago. At that time she moved to Estherville and made her home with Mrs. James Stevens at 508 N. Fourth St. She was a member of the Christian Church in Estherville.
Survivors include her niece, Mrs. James Stevens; a nephew, Charles Mudge of Blue Island, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and one brother.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 9 a.m. Friday until time of services Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 21, 1972)
