Mrs. Bryant Booth Sr. Dies at 65
Mrs. Bryant (Martha Margaret) Booth Sr., 65, died of a heart attack at her home at W. 31 S. 1st St. early this morning. Mrs. Booth had been in ill health since October, 1961.She was born Dec. 18, 1896 on a farm near Graettinger, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Westfall. Her education was received in rural Graettinger schools.
On Nov. 1, 1915 she was united in marriage to Bryant Booth at Clarion. They moved to Estherville in 1919 from Wisconsin.
Mrs. Booth was a member of the Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, three sons Bryant Booth Jr., Robert and Irvin, all of Estherville; and five grandchildren. Four brothers and three sisters also survive. They are Henry Westfall, Oelwein, and Charles, Clarence and Edward Westfall, all of Graettinger; Mrs. Elsie Miller of Emmetsburg; Mrs. Edna Hantelman of Fenton and Mrs. Hazel Peterson of Graettinger.
Family services will be Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. at the Booth home. Public services are to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Church. The Rev. Lester Strubhar will officiate with burial to be in the Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home beginning Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at which time the body will be taken to the Booth home to lie in state until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 9, 1962)
