Rites held for Terril Man, 69
Terril – Louis Hans Bendixen, 69, Terril, died Aug. 30 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in Spencer as a result of a coronary attack.
He is survived by four sons, Leonard and Roy Bendixen, Estherville, Howard Bendixen, Clear Lake, Wis., and Joe Bendixen, Ames; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Irene) Reed, Spirit Lake, and Mrs. Elmer (Lavon) Brix, Bradley, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Chris, St. Paul, Minn., August, Terril, and Howard, Lake Park; and one sister, Mrs. Clayton (Pearl) Wilcox, Terril
Bendixen was born March 2, 1900, to Mr. and Mrs. Mostinis [Mettinus] Bendixen at Emmet, Colo, [County]. He was a longtime resident of Emmet and Dickenson Counties.
Don Sawyer, Spirit Lake, Harry Schnell, Sr., Terril, and Oscar Lungren, Willard Moore, Leo Lenz and Leonard J. Roberts, Estherville, served as pallbearers.
The Rev. Charles Gelbert officiated at the Donovan-Leyson Chapel in Spirit Lake. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. (Clipping from unidentified newspaper, probably the Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA)
