Floyd Woodyard Funeral Tuesday
Floyd H. Woodyard, 58, Estherville, died Friday [October 22, 1971] evening at University Hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for three and one-half weeks.

He was born Jan. 5, 1913, in Estherville to William and Reta Woodyard and received his education in Estherville schools.

On Feb. 4, 1935, he was married to Frances Shull at Estherville. He operated a tiling and ditch digging machine. He lived in Emmet County all of his life.

Survivors are his wife, Frances, one son, David Woodyard, Gruver; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Ehlert, Estherville; three grandchildren, one half brother, Harold Bishop, and one half sister, Mrs. Anna Jansen, Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville. The Rev. Dick Pearson of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 25, 1971)
