Estellar Williams

Estellar [Robinson] Nance Williams, 76, of 412 K avenue NW, a Cedar Rapids resident for 40 years, died Sunday following a long illness.

Born Feb. 15, 1897, at Salisbury, Mo, she came to Cedar Rapids in 1923. She lived in Estherville at one time.

Surviving are four daughters, Frances Amy Baker, Celestia Perkins, Dorothy Shepherd with whom she lived, and Clementine Chipley; one son, Sidney J., all of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, the Rev. Christina McDonald of New York City, Olive Scott of Cedar Rapids and Dorothy Atkinson of Detroit; one brother, Claus Robinson, also of Detroit; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Bethel A.M.E. church, Stewardess Board and Silver Leaf chapter, O.E.S.

Memorial services: Bethel church at 9 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. John I. Thomas. Graveside services: Oak Hill cemetery at Estherville at 3:30 p.m.

Friends may call at the Turner chapel until 9 p.m. Tuesday. The casket will not be opened after the service. (Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids, IA, February 10, 1964)
