Mrs. Lucy L. Wells Dies
Services for Mrs. Lucy L. Wells, 93, who died Tuesday [November 22, 1960] evening at Holy Family Hospital, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel, the Rev. R. J. Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from Thursday afternoon until the time of services.

Mrs. Wells was born July 20, 1867, in Washington County to Conrad and Mary Lins and was educated in Washington county schools. In 1893 she moved to Estherville from Washington. On June 28, 1894, she was married to DeLois Wells in Estherville. The couple lived here all except two years which they spent in Spirit Lake. Wells was a longtime interior decorator here.

Mrs. Wells was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. J. B. (Florence) Ringham of Estherville, two sisters Mrs. Vina Manussier and Mrs. Mary Scranton, both of Washington, and one brother George Lins of Wyoming. She is also survived by one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, two brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 23, 1960)
