Mrs. Minnie Sutton Dies
Mrs. John (Minnie) Sutton, 84, died this morning at the Good Samaritan Home in Estherville, where she was a resident for the past several years. Death was attributed to complications of advanced age.Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R. E. Bauerle of The Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born April 28, 1878 in South Evart, Mich., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Yorks. After receiving her education in rural schools near South Evart, she moved to Estherville in1896.
In 1902, she was married to John Sutton at the Alfred Anderson home in Estherville and they made their home in the Estherville area. She was a member of the Free Methodist church.
Mrs. Sutton is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clara Anderson of Winnebago, Minn., and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Anderson of Ames. Seven grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive. Her parents, husband and one son preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel from 9 a.m. Friday until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 5, 1962)
