Lauretta Stevens
Estherville – Lauretta L. Stevens, 70, Estherville, died at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville Friday [September 10, 1976] morning.

Services for Mrs. Stevens are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Henry Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. James Harmon, of the Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Stevens was born Feb. 23, 1906, at Estherville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Flindt. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1923 and married James A. Stevens Dec. 3, 1924, at Estherville.

She lived in Estherville her entire life and was a member of the Christian Church and Ladies Society of the Brothers of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by five sons, Gilbert Stevens, Estherville, Donald Stevens, Aberdeen, Scotland, Jack Stevens, Charles City, Craig Stevens, Marshalltown, and Merlin Stevens, Omaha, Neb.; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Booth, Estherville, Mrs. Paul (Ruth Ann) Trosin, Oxnard, Calif., and Mrs. Dennis (Lucretia) Hoover, Ruthven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren and one sister.
