Mrs. George Rosander Dies at 82
Mrs. George Rosander, 82, resident of Emmet County for 20 years, died Saturday [September 10, 1966] morning at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Mrs. Rosander was taken to the Mason City hospital from the Ritter Nursing Home in Clear Lake, where she had been living for the past several months. Her death was attributed to complications of a stroke.

The former Nora Elizabeth Krieger was born June 18, 1884, at Perry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Krieger. She received her education in the Perry schools.

She was married Feb. 28, 1912, to George Rosander in Perry. They lived in Perry until 1944, when they moved to Welcome, Minn. They lived there for two years before moving to a farm nine miles east of Estherville. In 1957 they retired from farming and moved to Estherville. Mr. Rosander died Feb. 12, 1965.

Mrs. Rosander is survived by a son, Loyd, of Mission, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Simmer of Clear Lake; and 15 grandchildren.

The last surviving member of her family, she was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosander were to be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Rev. Howard Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lee Holl, William H. Howard, Harold Lenox, Robert Nichols, Mirl Mustard, and Kenneth Swanson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 12, 1966)
