Vestrem Obituary
Belle Mira Vestrem was born March 22, 1883, at Pocahontas, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Chicago, October 11, 1938, at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 19 days.

When a young girl she moved with her parents to Estherville, Iowa, and in 1901 was united in marriage with Earl D. Rose. To this union five children were born. Mrs. rose spent her early married life in Estherville, later moving to California, and for the past 13 years, has resided in Chicago. Although in poor health for several years, she had a keen interest in the welfare of her family and was active in the life of the community where she resided, attending the Ridge Community church. She was a member of the Stewart Ridge Mother’s club of Chicago, Ill., and of the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Tinley Park, Ill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Florence Wesner, Mrs. Fern Victor, two sons, Merle and Keith, five grandchildren, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Vestrem, seven sisters, Mrs. Hilda Shriner, Mrs. Cora Woodruff, Mrs. C. W. Bradbury, Mrs. H. R. LaGrange, Mrs. C. L. Bolty, Mrs. J. R. Stockfleth and Vivian Vestrem.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois, and her only brother, Lynn. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, October 20, 1938)

Burial Held Here Sunday
Mrs. Earl Rose, Former Resident Passed Away In Chicago Tuesday

Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Estherville Sunday for Mrs. Earl Rose of Chicago, a former resident of Estherville. Rev. F. W. Ortmeyer was in charge. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Rose who had been ill for the past three years passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11. Belle Mira Vestrem, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Vestrem, was born March 22, 1883, at Pocahontas. She came to Estherville as a young girl with her parents and resided here until and after her marriage n 1901 to Earl Rose. Five children were born to the union. The family moved from Estherville to California and 13 years ago to Chicago.

Even during the years of her illness, Mrs. Rose kept up her interest and activities in the home and in the life of the community where she resided, attending the Ridge Community church, the meetings of the Stewart Ridge Mothers’ Club of Chicago and the Royal Neighbor Lodge of Tinley Park, Illinois.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Florence Wesner, Mrs. Fern Victor, two sons, Merle and Keith, five grandchildren, her parents, seven sisters, Mrs. Hilda Shriner, Mrs. Cora Woodruff, Mrs. C. W. Bradbury, Mrs. H. R. LaGrange, Mrs. C. L. Bolty, Mrs. J. R. Stockfleth and Miss Vivian Vestrem.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Lois, and her only brother, Lynn.

Wesner and son and daughter, Mrs. Erma Vestrem and Miss Ada Ahrens of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bradbury and daughter of Eureka, Kansas; Mrs. H. R. LaGrange of Grinnell, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Stockfleth and daughter of Lake Park, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Carling and son of Sunbury, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bradbury and children and Mr. and Mrs. S. Bradbury and son of Mason City, Iowa.
