Lillian Rhodes
Estherville – A former Estherville resident, Lillian C. Rhodes, suffered a fatal heart attack during the night Saturday, March 26, at her home in Tucson, Ariz.

Miss Rhodes, 74, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Rhodes, Estherville. She was born here June 21, 1902. She attended Estherville schools, Ward Belmont College, Nashville, Tenn., and was graduated from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

She had been employed since her graduation in Mason City, Cedar Rapids, and, until her recent retirement, Tucson.

Miss Rhodes is survived by a twin brother, Cecil, New York, N.Y., another brother, Edwin, Houston, Tex.; two nephews, Allen Rhodes and Edwin Rhodes Jr., both of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

The body will be cremated in Tucson and returned to Estherville for burial. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 4, 1977)
