Mrs. C. Oulman Dies Following Year’s Illness

Mrs. Cecil Oulman, a life long resident of this city, passed away Tuesday [March 9, 1948] evening about seven o’clock at Holy Family Hospital. She had been ill for over a year but has been in failing health and confined to the hospital for over a month. The last time in the hospital was for about a week.

Lenna Oulman was born in this county on February 27, 1901. She spent some time in school at Sherburn, Minn., but for the most part was a student in Estherville. She attended a beauty school in Sioux Falls and practiced her profession here. She was at one time employed in the Oransky store in this city.

She was united in marriage to Cecil Oulman. March 2, 1921. To this union one daughter was born. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Janssen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon from the Sternborg chapel at 2 p.m. and from the Methodist Church at 2:30, the Rev. C. J. Semans officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 11, 1948)
