Minnie Braland Twedt, 1894-1968

Funeral services for Mrs. Siguard (Minnie) Twedt, 74, who died Saturday morning at the Valley Vue Nursing Home in Armstrong, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Nazareth Lutheran church in Armstrong. Rev. Carl Kline officiating Lutheran Church in Armstrong Grove Cemetery [sic]. Slaba-Reese Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Twedt, who had been ill since Easter, was born Minnie Braland on Aug 31, 1894, at Randall to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Braland. She received her
education in Randall. She was married in Des Moines on Sept. 24, 1918, to Sigurd Twedt. After their marriage Mr. Mrs. Twedt farmed in the Armstrong area.

She is survived by one son, Lawrence of Algona; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Maxine) McKean of Fairmont, and Mrs. Henry (Alverda) Jensen of
Ringsted; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Knudson of Des Moines and Mrs. Elsie Sampson of Rolland; two brothers, Jonas Braland and Otis Braland, both of Randall.

Her husband died in July.
