The death of Samuel Thoburn one of the pioneers of Armstrong Grove township occurred at his home Monday evening June 17. A slight scratch on his
hand by barb wire, which festered, the hand and arm swelling to enormous proportions, resulting after a short illness in blood poisoning and death. He
was about 62 years of age.
