Richard Logue, 13, is Estherville’s Polio Victim
Estherville’s first poliomyelitis victim, Richard Logue, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Logue, died today at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City.

Richard first became ill at his home near Huntington and was taken to Holy Family Hospital on Tuesday. On Wednesday he was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City.

No funeral arrangements have been made at present. Survivors include his parents, one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Reuland of Superior, and two brothers, Rex of Estherville and Glenn of Jacksonville, Florida. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, July 22, 1948)
