ESTHERVILLE - Services for Mrs. Henry (Mary Ellen) Buhr, 73, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Berger officiating, with interment in East Side Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1983 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

Mary Ellen Juhl was born Sept. 17, 1910 at Reinbeck, the daughter of Chris and Christina (Peters) Juhl. She attended the Reinbeck school and was a graduate of Estherville High School. On Nov. 28, 1936, she was united in marriage to Henry Buhr at Yankton, S.D. After her marriage they farmed in the Sanborn, Minn. area. Mr. Buhr died in Jan., 1960. Mrs. Buhr moved to Estherville in February of 1976 and has lived here since. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two brothers: Dale C. and Lawrence Juhl, Estherville; three sisters: Mrs. Ryan (Carrie) Hoffmeyer, Estherville, Mrs. Fred (Florence) Hoffmeyer and Mrs. Bill (Maxine) Mahin both of Chula Vista, Calif.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister.
